Allende, Mexico Ministry Needs
July 19, 2010

The former Brady Association has gone on Mission trips to Allende for five years and the L.I.B.A. three combined associations, has gone for two years, to do VBS and various construction projects at Brother Obed Heredia’s church.

Brother Obed has had surgery recently and is recuperating and doing well.

Robert Reeves and I, Ed Weber, from FBC Brady met with Obed and his wife Rosy in Eagle Pass on June 28th to give them lessons and craft materials for their Vacation Bible School this year. It was good to see them and we had a great visit with them.

They have asked us to pray with them about some needs they have in their ministry. We would like to share this information with everyone whom the Lord may encourage to help meet their ministry needs.

#1 – a 1990 Dodge Van has been given to them from the USA and it will cost them $1200.00 US dollars to get the vehicle into Mexico, taxes, license and registration. They have only until the end of the year because of Mexico’s restrictions about registration.

#2 – They have a need for a projector and the necessary attachments to be able to take Bible study lessons from the computer and project it on a screen.

#3 – They would like to have a sound system with a mixing board, speakers, two microphones and a CD player that can hold two or three CD’s.

#4 – A great need they have is rewiring their church building. The wire is old and is a potential for an electrical fire that could destroy the building and possibly their home. September was mentioned for a possible time to do this work.
